【銅板葺き二階建て民家】石川県小松市赤瀬町より移築（築／明治初期）
九谷五彩、その伝統美の世界。
日本を代表する陶芸・色鮮やかな九谷五彩で描いた美しく、渋く、力強い傑作の数々。九谷焼は今から約350年程前、大聖寺藩より始められ、五彩といわれる上絵の具を使った芸術性の高い色絵陶磁器です。九谷焼の館では、人間国宝の作品をはじめ、地元作家の作品や古九谷の伝統的なデザインから斬新で現代的な作品まで幅広く取り揃えております。
実演体験コーナーでは、九谷五彩でカラフルな絵付け、芸術のろくろ回し体験が出来ます。 絵付け体験では、描き直しも出来ますし、ぬり絵タイプも用意しておりますので、絵の苦手な方や小さなお子様でもお気軽に出来ます。ろくろ回し体験では、指導者により親切丁寧にサポートしますので、初めての方でも、安心して創っていただけます。
また、みどころとして、2階展示場では、当地に古くから伝わる貴重な生活民具の展示があります。昔を思い出させる時代の空間がここにあります。
